Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (BCIS) is where families interested in international adoption can download the application for Advance Processing of an Orphan Petition (I-600A) in order to start the BCIS application process.

Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute is a national non-profit organization devoted to improving adoption policy and practice.

The National Adoption Information Clearinghouse (NAIC) features hundreds of articles about adoption, adoption statistics and referrals for birthparents, adoptive parents, adoptees, and adoption professionals.

Orphan Doctor is a site developed by Dr. Jane Aronson, a pediatrician specializing in adoption medicine. It is designed to educate families hoping to adopt children both domestically and Internationally, starting with pre-adoption counseling to long-term developmental issues and concerns. This site includes relevant medical research and definitions.

PACT, An Adoption Alliance is a non-profit organization specializing in transracial adoption issues. PACT is dedicated to the mission of providing high quality adoption-related services to children of color, their birth parents and their adoptive families.

The Plumsite Adoption Website Ring is a ring of over 400 select web pages devoted to the best interests of adoptees and those in the adoption triad. It includes sites for adoptees, birthparents and adoptive parents. NO commercial agency, attorney, professional searcher, intermediary or therapists sites are listed.

RESOLVE of Northern California is an organization that provides support services, workshops, and family building information to people experiencing infertility, or are having difficulty building their families.

Stars of David is a nonprofit information and support network for Jewish and inter-faith adoptive families of all sizes, ages and origins. It serves all members of the triad including Jewish birth parents, adoptees, adoptive parents, prospective parents, single parents, grandparents, interfaith couples, transracial and transcultural families, and those with children by birth and adoption.

Perspectives Press is an infertility and adoption book publisher providing award-winning books, article, and workshops for consumers and for medical, mental health, counseling and allied professionals on infertility, reproductive health, and alternative family building.

Jewish Family and Children's Services (JFCS) has been serving the Northern California community for over 150 years. Online Adoption Chat Groups and Forums

Adoptionforums.com is a site specifically run as an online venue to chat with other birth parents, adoptive parents, or adult adoptees about adoption related issues or concerns.

About.com has specific adoption chat groups. You can add your email address to their weekly newsletter about adoption.

Yahoo.com has hundreds of individual adoption groups run by many different member of the adoption triad.

Google.com also has adoption groups.

Comeunity.com provides many adoption forums. Find an adoption forum that best meets your needs. It is organized by country or topic.
